Green Laser Scope
Is there a way to differentiate between a laser pointer and a laser scope? ?
Some idiot was sitting in a palm tree following my brother's girlfriend and her friend around with a green laser...They thought it was a scope, so they called the police. So, I'm wondering if there's a way to tell the difference between a harmless laser pointer and a laser scope on a gun.
Sort of.
Cheap laser pointers will tend to have blobby spots, while laser sights tend to be better quality lasers with more circular dots.
A moron playing around with a laser pointer will tend to jerk it around a lot, while someone using a laser sight will want to keep the beam steady...but a moron could always brace his pointer.
The actual beam power and color don't really tell you anything, though. Go ahead and call the police...even if it's just a dork with a pointer, that's some sort of misdemeanor most places.

I dont have a computor controled scope and my spotter scope leaves much to be desired could a green laser be hooked up so at least I can point it in a general location?
Not the best or safest idea to attach a laser to the scope.
