Dioder Lighting Strip
What can I use for an inexpensive ambient backlight?
I'm looking to add some ambient colored lighting to my room; a light that fades through the color spectrum behind my monitor, as well as a few solid colors few different areas of my room. What inexpensive lighting could I use?
For example, the IKEA Dioder lighting strips are exactly what I am looking for, but they are too expensive. Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lclmRbLoIuw
May I suggest using LED lighting. They are available in various colours and also a cycling colour changer available too.
