Diode Valves
is a catheter like a diode(one way check valve) or can fluid flow either way?
In general catheters have no valves, and allow flow in both directions. Blocked catheters may be freed by applying pressure in the reverse direction. Any hindrance to flow will come from the devices attached to the catheter.

how do i go from 12volts to 24 volts?
without changing my trucks voltage my truck is a ford f 250 deisel it has two batteries its a 12 volt system i want to hook up a hydraulic winch that uses 24 volts to control the valve do i use diodes or what can i do
possibly the use of a series-parallel switch can help you,try an automotive electrical outlet for help in your area this switch isolates the 12 volt system from being blown out when the batteries are hooked up in series. the electronics in your 12 volt system will not handle 24 volts well. Just hooking a cable between the two batteries is a no no.
With what you spend on arranging a 12-24 volt system, spend the money on a 12 volt motor for the winch
