Q1) When three identical Zener diodes are connected is series the first diode has a break down voltage of 8 volts. what will be the equivalent break down voltage. if the circuit has provide with 12 volt supply ?

Q2) what will the equivalent break down voltage if the above case are connected in parallel ?

If all three diodes have a Zener voltage of 8 volts, then the three in series would have a Zener voltage of 24 volts.

But with a 12 volt supply, they will never go into breakdown.

In parallel, the zener voltage will be 8 volts, but no two zeners are identical, so the one with the lowest voltage will be the one conducting, and the others will not have any current flow in theory. But in practice, the zener curve is not flat, so the other two may draw some current, depending on the exact voltages, shape of the curves, and current load.
