you supply a small 2V pk-pk sinusoidal signal at Vin. What will the peak current be through the input resistor?
Knowing this will be the same current going through either diode, why don’t we get the typical voltage drop of 0.7V across the forward-biased diode?
Using n=1.8, what do you get for the voltage drop across the diode? (I just need to know which formula to use) Assume a reverse current of 25nA.
Using the peak positive and negative voltage values at the input, determine Vout and the voltage right at the op amp output (pin #6) for both extreme voltages.

3 The diode equation is I = Is( e^(Vd/nVt) -1), and since Is = 25 nA, Vt = 25 mv, and n =1.8
1x 10^(-4) = 2.5 x 10^(- 
( e^(Vd/ 40) - 1)
4 x 10^3 = e^(Vd/40)
take the natural log
8.29 = Vd/ 40 mV
Vd = 330 millivolts
