Diode Light What is the maximum DC current allowed in a regular LED (Light Emitter Diode)?
I need reach the maximum brightnes from a LED, without burn it.
Typically, limit to 10ma-20mA. OLEDs can be driven pretty hard. I have some that I power directly from 2x AAA batteries for lighting, they've got > 100 hours on them.

You have to find out the voltage drop across the led is. The voltage drop across a germaniun diode is .3V and they have to match for the circuit to work....Good luck!
