12 volt battery isolator?

how do i build a isolator to charge a small 12 volt battery powering an xm radio. with xm plugged into car battery severe ground loop. xm ru nning seperate battery no noise. how do i isolate small gel cell from big battery noise, and still charge it. what would a diode circuit look like?
Thanks

To build one, you need some REALLY high powered diodes (75-100 amp range). The didoes would be connected back to back (anodes together) with the connection point being ran from the charging system. The other ends (cathode) of the diodes would be connected to each battery's hot side. The diode networks MUST be in a box that also serves as a heat sink, as the diodes will get very hot. All grounds should be made to the same location.

I'd like to put a high voltage diode inline on a motorcycle sparkplug wire.?

The plug wire will be carrying aprox 75,000 vac @ 250ma that will be produced by a fairbanks morse magneto. I want to exploit the reversal of polarity that occurs with a dual fire harley davidson style magneto and convert it to a single fire mode useing a diode to isolate the spark pulses by polarity.
Wires of this type are available commercially but I would like to make some of my own. I need to know the type and value of the required diode as well as where I could buy it. Thanks.
In order to achieve the 200kV / 1a value could i bundle (parrall or series) a number of lesser value diodes ? I'm thinking specificly of the HV diodes used in microwave ovens.

Have a look on rswww.com (that's the address just type it in like that). They should have one to meet your needs - one with a very high voltage rating and capactity of at least an amp should do it. They are trade only in person but order online and the general public can use. Hope this helps.
