What is "IN" in diode IN4007& BC inTransistorsBC547 & SL1OO,BFW10 in transistors. what actually do they convey

First of all, it is 1N (number '1', not the letter 'I').

This designation comes from an old system of numbering vacuum tubes from a standards group called the Radio Manufacturers Association.

The number 1 meant the device had no filament/heater and the letter N was for crystaline devices (even before there were true silicon junction diodes or transistors). The numbers after that are serial numbers from the RMA, issued when a manufacturer requested a new number for a new device.

4007 is simply the 4007th number assigned. In this case whoever manufactured the first of this series, got a set of numbers from 4001 to 4007, because they are all similar diodes -- except for their reverse voltages.

what polarity the diode should be connected. where does the silver line of diode must be kept.

first remember silver line is cathode of the diode. so you need to reverse bias the diode. so connect the silver of line side(cathode) of the diode to positive terminal of battery, and the other side anode to negative terminal of battery. now connect the power relay's positive terminal to positive of battery via a switch and negative of relay to negative of battery. any doubts mail me.
