Diode Filter
pls. help me to prepare a simple eliminator cicuit/adapter circuit.?
input-230V ac,50Hz; output-5V,100-500mA; transformer-1, diode-4 filter capacitor-1,regulator-1.pls give its design also.

For 5 volts out, use a 7805 instead of 7809 for IC 1.
I'd also come down a bit on the transformer...
say 10-12volts or so from the secondary.
The input to the 7805 needs to be between 7.5 and 20 volts.

b) increase the average voltage
c) turn the diode onf aster
d) decrease the average voltage
