Diode Driver Circuit

where can i find out information for the driver circuit of a 5mW laser diode?

i need to remove this board to be able to use the laser to send a signal.
this circuit regulates the power going to the actual diode and prevents me from pulsing a signal

Isaac : I may be able to help you on this matter, but I would need some additional information. I assume you intend to AM the output of the laser. Do you have a laser for this purpose, and if so can you supply the manufacturer's name and model number? What frequency range and waveform do you need for your application?

I would also note that many driver circuits protect the laser diode from damage, so you should not remove one without an adequate replacement.
