What are V/I characteristics of a DIODE, WIRE, MOTOR, BULB?
For a Diode

For a wire, it will be a low value resistance, a very flat linear plot with very low voltage drop to high current.

Has a pretty good plot for a motor in unloaded (tending toward constant current), loaded and stalled conditions - for an unloaded motor, increasing voltage results in a large increase in speed and a small increase in current.

When the bulb filament is cold, its resistance is low, so if full voltage is switched to the bulb, a high surge current flows (why bulbs usually fail at switch on).
As the filament heats up, its resistance increases, so the current does not increase as much as for a simple resistance.

LED light bulb I bout from Amazon...
What do you know about wireless energy transfer through magnetic resonance?
I know the basics of wireless energy transfer through magnetic resonance, and coupling and all that. I am planning/trying to power a light bulb (or anything, really...lol) from 2 feet away using this technology. I have gotten great resonance inside of the loop of copper wire, but never outside of it.
Basic Questions:
[Exactly] What materials will I need? (I was thinking gauge 10 copper wire. Do you think it should be any other gauge?) (Do I need a capacitor? how do I tell which one I need?) (Is there any way to either find a good and cheap power source with AC output that can change it's frequency, or make one?)(Do i need a diode of some sort? why?)
What ratio of emitter:receiver should I use? 1:1? 2:1? 3:1? 3:2?
