can we use "zener diode" in "bridge rectifier " circuit? why?
Well, if you did, you'd need to be sure the Zener voltage was safely above the maximum input voltage or else there would be a short circuit when the input rises above the breakdown voltage (plus the forward voltage of the adjacent diode). But below the Zener voltage, a Zener functions like a conventional diode.

what componet values should be used for a bridge rectifier?
i want to implement a circuit which will act as a rectifier...c.can u help me with what values of the components should be used?the diodes,step down transformer and all the values...even the resisitive load value....need it urgent please...i need this to work on 230 volt,50 Hz a.c supply

Iout is the rated load current

The resistive load would be Vout/Iout = Vsecondary/Isecondary
