Diffraction Grating Mirror
Diffraction Grating Mirror
paraphrasing?

Can someone help me with paraphrasing?

Here's the original paragraph:
A beam of light from a visible and/or UV light source (colored red) is separated into its component wavelengths by a prism or diffraction grating. Each monochromatic (single wavelength) beam in turn is split into two equal intensity beams by a half-mirrored device.

And here's mine:
A prism separates a beam of light from a visible or ultra violet light source into its component wavelengths. A half-mirrored device splits each monochromatic beam into two beams with equal intensity.

My report into on this topic. I just selected a random paragraph as an example, so I'm not going to use this. This is just to help me.

But would it be okay if I were to write that? I'll list my source, but it's not consider plagiarizing right? cause I wrote it in my own words from their information..?
I meant to write my report isn't on this topic

You used too much of the original language to be considered paraphrasing. You need to dump the original phrasing like "half-mirrored" and "monochromatic." Sorry to say, but unless you understand the concept you are paraphrasing, you will have a hard time with it.
Since your report is on something (hopefully) you know a lot about, putting ideas into your own language won't be a barrier.
Also, you still need to utilize internal documentation when paraphrasing. You can leave out quotation marks, but depending on either MLA or APA citation, you must document your source.
Good luck!

Electromagnetically Induced Grating

Electromagnetically Induced Grating

$68.51

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Electromagnetically induced grating (EIG) is an optical interference phenomenon where an interference pattern is used to build a dynamic spatial diffraction grating in matter. EIGs are dynamically created by light interference on optically resonant materials and rely on population inversion and/or optical coherence properties of the material. They were first demonstrated with population gratings on atoms. EIGs can be used for purposes of atomic/molecular velocimetry, to probe the material optical properties such as coherence and population lifetimes, and switching and routing of light. Related but different effects are thermally induced gratings and photolithography gratings. Fraunhofer Diffraction

Fraunhofer Diffraction

$58.94

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In optics, Fraunhofer diffraction, or farfield diffraction, is a form of wave diffraction that occurs when field waves are passed through an aperture or slit causing only the size of an observed aperture image to change due to the farfield location of observation and the increasingly planar nature of outgoing diffracted waves passing through the aperture. It is observed at distances beyond the nearfield distance of Fresnel diffraction, which affects both the size and shape of the observed aperture image, and occurs only when the Fresnel number F ll 1, wherein the parallel rays approximation can be applied. XRay Imaging with a Grating Interferometer

XRay Imaging with a Grating Interferometer

$98.77

Improved contrast in Xray images can be obtained through phase contrast and darkfield imaging. Of the different methods for phase contrast imaging, the recently developed grating based interferometer is well suited for use at different Xray sources, including a standard Xray tube. This thesis explains the principles of a grating based interferometer, and the algorithms for tomographic reconstruction of differential phase contrast and darkfield images are derived. Experimental data recorded at three different Xray sources are presented, and the data quality depending on source properties are discussed. 125mW Viper Green Laser - Matrix Diffraction Grating and Mirror Laser Show

Which of these is diffraction?

Which of the following can function as a diffraction grating?
A compact disc (CD).
A smooth mirror.
A laser.
Polarized sunglasses.

A CD.

Diffraction is when a wave (such as light) expands to fill all available region. Imagine dropping a pebble in a calm pool of water. The ripples are the "waves"

A mirror deals with reflection, polarization is its own phenomenon, a laser IS light so it cannot be a diffraction grating
