Need help with rosy red minnows and pond?
i live in north idaho and i have a 1000 gallon mudpond that is 2to3 feet deep and is not filled naturally but by snow melt and rain and it causes the soil to be waterlogged and it makes a pond.it is oxygenated by millions of cattails.what kind of plants should i put in there to give my rosy red minnows better oxygen?should i put the filter for my pool in the pond to give the pond more oxygen.what is the lowest and highest ph level that rosy red minnows can live in.
rosy red minnows are feeder fish and are very hardy. yes you should use a filter and you won't need anymore plants to oxygenate the pond. also if the pond is only filled in certain times that you shouldn't use it as a pond.
