How to use one mouse/keyboard to control 2 computers so they do the same thing at the same time?

I'm not looking for software to do this I am looking for hardware. I read it can't be done by splitting the cable into 2 males to go to each computer I've thought of using a series of diodes but I think data travels both ways on USB cords so is their a box that I can buy that will duplicate the signals to the computer and merge the signals to the devices or is there a way to jerry rig it.

How much minimum current do you want to put through the zener diode? They need some current to keep them zenering.

If 10 volts is the minimum supply voltage when zener current is zero, then Rs = 40 ohms.

When Vs = 15 volts there will be 225 mA through Rs and 225 - 100 mA in the zener diode.

The Power dissipation in that diode will then be 125 mA x 6 volts = 750 milliwatts.
