Cube Beam
Ever since I changed the battaries in my robovector plumb laser it won't turn on again... Any ideas? Thnx!?
I'm not sure how to desribe which model it is. It's laser shoots up,down,left,right and one straight forward. It's the one that is a cube and you twist in half. It takes three AA bateries. Did you check the batteries you put in? It's possible one or more of them is dead. Put in batteries you know are fresh and have full voltage. Also, make sure the batteries are in in the right direction. If one is installed backwards the machine probably wouldn't work.

Question for construction?
The strength of a beam varies directly with the width of a beam and inversely as the cube of the depth. If a beam 10 mm wide by 20 mm deep will support 1200 kg, how much will a beam 8mm by 25mm support?
It won't be inversely as the cube of the depth. This would imply that the beam became stronger the thinner it got.
I think that it must be proportional to the cube of the depth.
