Compact Motorized
Help finding a treadmill?
Hopefully someone will know exactly the ideal model for me.
I want to buy a treadmill and want to find one that fits the following -
- Must be motorised not manual
- Must have motorised incline
- Very compact when folded (like Reebok I-Run)
I would've gone for the Reebok I-Run but it doesn't have motorised incline. I need programmes that vary the incline as I'm training for a 100km non stop walk across the south downs so need to get used to the hilly terrain. Don't want to have to keep getting off to manually adjust it.
I'm only in a one-bed flat so space is of a premium. Whilst some models say they fold up, it's just the running platform lifts up to a slant which isn't practical for me. Like I say, the I-Run is the ideal when folded but with motorised incline

There are a lot of sports shops out there that will sell you a treadmill with these requirements.Even John Lewis's has them.
However I will add a bit of sensibility to your requirements. A good treadmill starts at about £1000. What I have to ask is is your 100km walk going to be a one off and are you going to use the treadmill afterwards? What I am going ot suggest is to find a gym to use instead. Most tows will have a basic gym nearby for about £35 a month membership - so that's nearly 3 years of membership to pay for your treadmill! If the walk is a one within a year then it will be cheaper to go there. OK at busy times you might not be able to walk on the gym machines for an hour or more but go after 6 and you should eb OK.

I heard meade are good lx/etx
Look at the Meade ETX series of scopes. The Mak-Cas series ranges from 90mm to 125mm, will provide great views, has full goto capability and can connect to your computer. Might not get the 125mm for £300 but at least the 90mm most likely.
