Butterfly Laser
As a parent to an eleven month old and a university student who is almost done with her degree...?
I would like to know the opinion of parents out there in refernece to tattoos on teachers. Personally I was in the process of removing a tattoo I had on my ankle. After 3 years of laser treatments, i consulted withanother doctor who essentially told me that my initial doctor had scarred my skin, b/c he hadn't spaced out the treaments...I really had no ther option but get a cover up tattoo...I recently got a blue and black butterfly over the previous scarred tattoo. As I am planning on becoming a teacher, I would simply like to know what the opinion of other parents are about having their children's teachers have tattoos. Personally, in my case it was either a butterfly or a scarred shadow of my old tattoo. I preferred the butterfly, that atleast didn't look ugly... I would appreciate your honest answers...
It wouldn't bother me.
I'm way more concerned with the teacher doing her best for my sons that I am with largely irrelevant things like that.
And, if I was on a school's hiring committe, it wouldn't bother me either.
All I can advise is that you not draw attention to it.

Tattoo removal by laser?
I have three tattoos which I want gone. They are all small-ish, one a rose (red, green and black) one a heart (red and black) and one a butterfly (multicoloured). I really hate them all now and want them off!
I am considering laser removal, not concerned about pain, but does it actually work and how many months to remove a small rose/heart tattoo?
My other option is to get three skin coloured tattoos to cover up, but 1) can you tan over this? and 2)will the skin colour cover up the black?

Only do the laser if you plan not not having anymore tattoos in that area. Several laser treatments may be needed. It does work, it can be very painful. Biggest advice on laser is research your therapist! There are so many shops ,in this area anyway, that do this with no license, training, not even a doctor on site! Have this done by a professional who is trained & licensed at a doctor's office with a real M.D. on site. Laser in the wrong untrained hands can be life changing or threatening. Be careful. If you can live with a tattoo on you body, let a reputable artist take a look and give you his opinion on a cover up. Find some designs you like and take them to your artist & see if they will work. Skin colored ink on a tattoo is not going to cover this. Black , you either have to cover back with black or laser. I would do the cover up before doing laser. Good luck!
