Butterfly Base
What is the best kind of electric guitar to get?
im a lefty and im looking for something affordable around anything under 300 bucks. and im a girl.. so im not looking for any manly looking ones either haha but i dont want any butterflies or hearts for the base either (I saw those at guitar center). any suggestions are greatly appreciated thank you

The best kind of guitar is the one that you are comfortable with. Sometimes you do not choose the right guitar - the right guitar chooses you! 
Seriously, go to the local music shop and try out some guitars. You want to find something that you are comfortable with. Epiphone makes some Les Pauls in your price range. Also, Ibanez has some great low cost axes that make great starter guitars.
One issue you will have is the fact that you are left handed though. It plagues me because I cannot play right handed due to a part of a finger missing on my left hand. There are usually far less choices for lefties. If you have the ability to learn to play right handed - I highly suggest it.

I have been told to get something called a screw base...what is that? Not a plastic anchor or butterfly screw. Does anyone here know what that is? Thank you.
Its a piece wood base big enough to hold the bracket, without the base the bracket dig into the dry wall.
