Beam Lamp

I have a 1975 Honda XL250. Can anybody tell me what the expected voltage to the headlight should be.?

Both the high and low beam filaments burnt out in my headlight and the high beam indicator lamp too. I checked the voltage coming to the headlight expecting something around 6VDC and found about 6-13 Vac depending upon the engine rpm. Is something wrong with the alternator output or is it just age that sent all of these filaments to their deaths at roughly the same time. Before putting in a rather pricey replacement headlight, I want to make sure it won't be burnt out too. Thanks for any help!

BEAM trimet under a halogen lamp

the high beam of my pulsar 200 is very weak. a 35W HID lamp is not also compatible. please suggest a solution?

my bike is 2 yrs old. i do not want compromise on mileage, but want get my head lamp replaced as it is very difficult to see during fog and rains
