like the guy above me said, jvc offers a line of hdd cameras. the only thing thats really limiting you is how much youre willing to pay. however, remember that just because its recorded digitally onto a hard drive doesnt mean it has the best quality. hdd cameras still use mpeg-2 compression (how else would it fit?) which (slightly) reduces picture quality. great for direct transfer to dvd, but if youre planning on editing etc. then go for minidv cams. i think www.camcorderinfo.com is a great website for choosing cameras and remember when choosing, look for features such as zoom (optical), low light performance, etc. as well. and remember if youre in it for ease of use, get a hdd, but for picture quality, minidv is always king (at least for mere mortals like us)

Protective Goggles does anyone know what brand/type of sunglasses jamie hyneman wears from mythbusters?
they look somewhat like protective eyewear you would have on while welding but trust me they are NOT for welding. they seem to have a metal/chrome visor like...thing between the actualy lens and eye socket, that fits perfectly to the conture of his face. so kinda like the way goggles would fit/sit on your face (letting very little to no light in from the sides) but with a thin metal frame like sunglasses. does anyone have any clue what this could be?
