2) If all the six DC alternator diodes open circuit , the effect of its output would be ....................
3) How many slip rings and brushes required for its field of the alternator?
Star,output would be zero,only 2 slip rings to feed rotor windings so only 2 brushes from voltage regulator.But what the hell is a DC alternator,all alternators are AC.Dynamos are DC and have a commutator and pick up brushes and a FADE box for voltage and current control.All alternators are 3 phase whether for aircraft,cars or power stations
Attached Filter Any tips or tricks for applying a new oil filter?
For a 4cyl honda dohc engine, the oil filter that I have on there now is very old and the oil has been sitting for over 2 months. After I remove the old filter, is there any way to clean or flush out the area on the head where the oil filter attaches?
Also, is there any prep that is needed for the new oil filter before I attach it?
How tight should I twist the new oil filter when I apply it.

Make sure the gasket came off with the old filter. Wipe down the base with a clean rag and don't worry about a little oil. Just make sure the surface contact is clean. Use a little
new oil on your finger and swish it around the top of the new gasket. Apply till the filter seats then give it a furn till its snug.
You don't need to wrench it tight. Just good and snug and maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 extra turn extra. The gasket will swell when the engine heats up. Start the car up and check for leaks.. Take your time. There may be some old oil dripping from the removal. After you'r sure it's not leaking ( and all is cooled off.) you can wipe it all down with a rag again. No need to really blast it with a hose. Just clean it up as best you can.

Hi everyone i was wondering how do you attach a sponge filter to a powerhead and i was also wondering. can i attach it to a eheim filter. i have a eheim 2215, can i attach it to the suck part? just remove the tip on the end of the suction part and replace it with the sponge filter?
Most quality sponge filters have a 5/8"-1" lift tube and most powerheads are made to fit that.... so shouldn't be a big issue.
Ehiem,I believe,has a roughly 5/8" inlet tube.... so same deal,should easily fit.
If there is an issue you can use pvc adapters for the corresponding sizes.
A simple sponge pre-filter can be made by taking a sponge meant for an AquaClear filter (I use the ones for the AC 50 and 70 models) and cutting a slit in the end and sliding it up over the inlet strainer.
