The adapter that came with wreath took a dump one year after we bought it new. Then I bought a new adapter from Mouser Electronics on-line. That one worked for the xmas month. Then this year put it up and that one took a dump. So i bought another one this xmas and that one took a dump 5 minutes later. OK, here is the spec's.

120vac input-12vac-output at 1000ma.
Lamp-- 10w.
My two replacement Adapt's. from Mouser Electronics
120vac input. 12vac output.
At 1a-17w.
Is not 1000ma 1a? And does it matter if the lamp is 10w and the Adap't. is a 17w output. The lamp is still good when i test with a universal Adapt.but the motor won't run, just the the lamp will light up. Not enough output i suppose. Made for smaller things. It has a slider switch for diffrent outputs.

They don't make them like they used to.
I have had literally 100's of those el-cheapo made in China power adapters fail. Maybe take a wander to a Goodwill store and rescue an old one (not made in China) out of a junk bin for a buck.

Can you change a fiber optic outlet to a simple phone jack?
I have an issue in the office I'm setting up. I've only got one telephone line in the room and it's on the other side of the room from where I want to set up my office and for furniture reasons, I can't switch sides. I have to have a phone line near my desk for my fax machine and to hook my AT&T network up. There is a fiber optic line that I could position my desk near, but I need to know if there is anyway you can take the plate off the wall and switch the connections in the back. I'm not in no way electrically educated, so this might be a very stupid question. But if there's a way to do that without having to get new lines dropped, it would work better. Or maybe there's something I can plug a split connector that I can plug a phone jack into? Any help is appreciated.
run an ethernet cable, with(rj 45)connectors either side, round the room on the skirting board, you can use cable clips (6mm cleats) or buy a gun which fires half round staples for a neater job. take your time and space out the cleats evenly, whilst keeping the cable taught, (pull it tight and cleat the other side of the 90 degree angle your about to achieve helps) you can only go fibre to copper after the network terminating point, othewise your phone company will charge you for messing about..
maybe go to a local electrical wholesalers and ask questions, bet there is an old phone engineer there, my dad keeps his hand in like this.

What are the best Transistor to use that last longer than 2n3055 transistor but has or even add more power to Generate Electrical Arc.
using 25 volt 3 amp transformer, halfbridge diode, 100uf 35v x3 Electrolyte Capacitor, 50Ohm-250Ohm both rated 5watt. and dual 2n3055 transistor. ( it keep burning and buying new one ) any advise in all?
first off, don't use standard BJT's in a power supply. They suffer from thermal runaway. If the current draw on one leg is higher than the other, the gain on the BJT, due to heating, will go up giving you more current on one side of the bridge than the other. Eventually the BJT will destroy itself.
Best to use Mosfets. The reason being is that Mosfets have a positive temperature coefficient of resistivity ie: if one leg is drawing more current than the other, the Mosfet channel heats up and it's resistivity goes up. This way they sort of "self regulate". BJT's do just the opposite, when they heat up their gain increases making the problem worse and like I said, they will eventually destroy themselves.
the only way to prevent that with bjt's is to monitor the current in both legs and have a skip cycle circuit which stops the switching in that leg when current is exceeded.

1992 ford f150 wont hold a charge?
I put a new battery in there started every day for about a month
Then i tried to start it there was nothing. I brought it to a shop they put on a new starter. Went to pick it up no problems next day same thing. Brought back down to the shop a new starter relay started right up a month later same thing. I had to jump it the battery was reading normal untill i gave it gas then it was at 18. the amp light is on. I opened the door the engine reved higher. Let it ran for an hour got out closed the door with it still running the truck shut off tried to start back up nothing no lights. Put the jumper cables back on turned the key started right up put in reverse stalled. im thinking voltage regulater or the diode in the alternator or maybe a short in the wires maybe all three
