We just did this optics lab with a concave mirror, where we had begin by placing the beam machine on the plane and using a triple beam label the principle focus. Then we directed a single ray at the mirror and marked where the incident ray was and where it reflected. Two times.

a) Rays passing parallel to principal axis meet at focus so the image is a point image (greatly diminished) and real.
b) rays passing through F before striking mirror intersect at infinity so real image is formed but it forms at infinity.
c) Rays passing through C radius of curvature retrace their path and a real and inverted image is formed of the same size as the object and is formed at C.

focus on a specific machine, you got xyz, ancient gear, cyber stuff, and normal machines. i would scrap everything but the cyber machines. they are pretty quick with fusion and out of play combos.
Diode Continuity how important are these features on a multimeter?
im trying to figure out what i really need to have on a digital multimeter so i can make my final choice. below are the questionable features that i want to know about if they are needed, useful, and so on. im trying to buy a multimeter that will last me a while and since im just starting out with electronics and robotics and stuff i want to have the features i need now instead of getting a new multimeter late. thanks:
1. capacitance--i know that capacitors have values on them but wouldnt it be useful to able to test them?

again just need to know how useful these are and anything else i need to know when looking for the multimeter i need. i dont know what ranges i need to have but i want to get one so i dont have to worry aobut it.
Continuity and diode are more or less essential. You will probably use these more than any other range. If you're planning on doing component level work rather than using pre-built control boards transistor test can be useful. I doubt if you will ever use capacitance so I wouldn't put it as a requirement. It's unlikely you'll be faced with an unknown capacitance and it's not giving a good indication of functionality.
